docker run -d --restart=always -v /:/mnt alpine sh -c 'sleep infinity'

cross-platform · bash · Expert

Leaves a container running forever with the host filesystem mounted inside it, and asks Docker to bring it back after every reboot. The sleeping process does nothing by itself, which is the point: it is a foothold that survives restarts.

Signals to notice

  • Host root mounted into a container
  • --restart=always provides reboot persistence
  • Idle process disguises the container's purpose

Think you can spot these under time pressure?
